Well, now I'm confused about something... are the metadata in these XSchema
documents, as covered by the XSD proposed goals, to be metadata describing
the SDDs (or whatever they're finally called) themselves, OR metadata that
will describe the generated DTD? Or both?

For instance, the SDD might include metadata such as date of creation,
author, and so on; the generated DTD might incorporate all that, taken
directly from the SDD, AND add to it something along the lines of
"DTDGENERATOR='SSD2DTD VERSION 1.0' GENERATEDDATE='19980618'".

Does it make a difference which of these metadata the XSD proposal addresses?
