This discussion (?flame war?) is being carried on in duplicate on XML-L and
XML-DEV. I believe it's a good thing to post only to a single list unless
the posting is of *very* general value. (Automatic replies without reading
the list of recipients is hardly ever a Good Thing.)

I also suggest that on XML-DEV we favour discussions that seem to be
leading to something concrete - whether software, resources, protocols or
merely reshaping the future of the human race.

In arguing for a new newsgroup it's worth making sure that the current
organs fill different and non-overlapping roles. As I said I'm deliberately
neutral.

Relax... hack some SAX...
